Rock 101

Starting Wednesday, June 28th

Our beginner level Camp! At our Rock 101 Camp beginning Wednesday, June 28th, we’ll ease you into the idea of being and working in a band. Over four rehearsals we match you up with players of your skill level and introduce you to being in a band in our relaxed, professional and non-judgmental atmosphere! Rock 101 is where your Rock journey starts!

Rock 201: Build-Your-Own Camp – “Soulful Indie Pop”

Starting Sunday, July 9th

If you are a band of five Rock Moms or Dads who think it’s about time to get out of the garage and do some serious damage, we have the opportunity for you! You provide the musicians and songs, we’ll provide the studio and attentive one-one-one assistance from one of our awesome Instructors to help you be the best band you can be! Top it off with your very own VIP performance party at our studio on your fourth rehearsal, RCFD’s Build-Your-Own Camp option is a great way to whip your ideal band into shape!

Rock 201: Campfire Jam

Starting Tuesday, June 27th

Put some kindling in the fire pit and open that bag of marshmallows… there’s still one thing missing: the sing-a-longs! At our Rock 201: Campfire Jam Camp beginning Tuesday, June 27th, we’re gonna get into the summer spirit and invoke the lighthearted friendship & fun of a good ‘ol campfire singalong! Grab your acoustic guitars and have a friendly jam in this laid-back, carefree environment! We won’t be rockin’ your grandma’s songs either — at Campfire Jam you’ll be able to have a communal blast with such modern singalongs as “Keep on Rockin in the Free World” by Neil Young, “America” by Simon & Garfunkle, and “High and Dry” by Radiohead! The Campfire Jam will conclude with our own bonfire and jam with appropriate summertime campfire snacks and libations. So what are you waitin’ for? Don’t let this campfire burn out!

 Rock 201: Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show Camp

 Starting Wednesday, June 28th

Who’s ready to get freakin at the freaker’s ball?? At our Rock 201: Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show Camp beginning Wednesday, June 28th you’ll be able to get a little down-home and a little bit goofy as you rock the hits from the 70s country-rock band who proved that rock doesn’t have to take itself too seriously! Although this camp may not get ya on the cover of the Rolling Stone, you’ll be able to have a rollicking great time jamming on such classic Dr. Hook cuts as “Sylvia’s Mother”, “Penicillin Penny’ and “The Cover of the Rolling Stone”. This camp concludes with an in-studio VIP performance party on your fourth rehearsal.

 Rock 301: Grand Funk Railroad Camp

Starting Monday, June 26th

What better way to spend your Fourth of July with an American Band… for you?? At our Rock 301: Grand Funk Railroad Camp beginning Monday, June 26th you’ll be able to rock the hits of legendary hard rock outfit Grand Funk Railroad! All aboard, the train is leavin’… Grab your guitar and plug in your keyboards, get ready to jam to such classic Grand Funk as “Are You ready”, “Some Kind of Wonderful” and “American Band”. This camp concludes with a spot at our Bunkers gig on July 29th.

Rock 301: Build-Your-Own Camp – Duran Duran

Starting Monday, June 26th

If you are a band of five Rock Moms or Dads who think it’s about time to get out of the garage and do some serious damage, we have the opportunity for you! You provide the musicians and songs, we’ll provide the studio and attentive one-one-one assistance from one of our awesome Instructors to help you be the best band you can be! Top it off with your very own slot at our gig at Bunkers on July 29th, RCFD’s Build-Your-Own Camp option is a great way to whip your ideal band into shape!

Open positions: This “Duran Duran” Build-Your-Own-Camp is currently full but Contact Denise today to schedule your own Rock 101, 201 or 301 camp space!

Rock 301: Build-Your-Own Camp – Santana

 Starting Tuesday, June 27th

If you are a band of five Rock Moms or Dads who think it’s about time to get out of the garage and do some serious damage, we have the opportunity for you! Rock 301: Build-Your-Own Camp – “Guardians of the Galaxy”

Starting Thursday, June 29th

If you are a band of five Rock Moms or Dads who think it’s about time to get out of the garage and do some serious damage, we have the opportunity for you! You provide the musicians and songs, we’ll provide the studio and attentive one-one-one assistance from one of our awesome Instructors to help you be the best band you can be! Top it off with your very own slot at our gig at Bunkers on June 24th, RCFD’s Build-Your-Own Camp option is a great way to whip your ideal band into shape!

Open positions: This “Guardians of the Galaxy” Build-Your-Own-Camp is currently full but Contact Denise today to schedule your own Rock 101, 201 or 301 camp space!

Jamshop: Classic Rock

 Starting Saturday, July 1st

Looking for a little more Mojo on the weekends? Why not give Jamshop a try! The JamShop, beginning Saturday, July 1st, is aimed at all levels of musicians who are interested in getting together, during the weekend, to play in a casual, laid back and collaborative environment, focused on fun Saturday morning jammin! The July Jamshop will have a Classic Rock theme, so come on down and make your Saturday mornin’ a classic one!

AUGUST CAMPS

Rock 101

Rock Camp Rewind

Starting the first week of August

Are you an RCFD Alumnus who was in a pretty awesome camp which came and went? Do you want a second shot at the greatness and fun? Our Rock Camp Rewind is a great way to relive the fun of Rock Camp For Dads if you thought your camp deserved an encore! Priced at our standard 301 Camp rate, the Rock Camp Rewind is open to ALL former 201 or 301 Rock Camps predating May 2017. This camp includes four more rehearsal sessions with personalized instruction to further hone your setlist, performance and band dynamics! The Rock Camp Rewind concludes with a spot on our outdoor Rock Camp Rewind Festival in The Park Tavern parking lot on August 26th from 2pm-7pm!

Open positions:  Full-bands must submit as a group to Denise at Denise@rockcampfordads.com for consideration for Rock Camp Rewind.  Space is limited to seven bands.  Don’t miss your chance for a Rock Camp Rewind and let the rock live on!

Jamshop: Blues

 Starting Saturday, August 5th

Looking for a little more Mojo on the weekends? Why not give Jamshop a try! The JamShop, beginning Saturday, August 5th, is aimed at all levels of musicians who are interested in getting together, during the weekend, to play in a casual, laid back and collaborative environment, focused on fun Saturday morning jammin! The August Jamshop will have a Blues theme, so come on down and get a shot of the Blues in your morning joe!

Open positions: GUITAR, BASS, DRUMS, VOCALS

These camp positions are all first come first serve, so act fast and get the camp you want! Click on the position you want in the camp of your choice to put down your deposit. This will secure your spot. Also, if you’re a guitar player who wants to try his or her hand at something different, try signing up for a bass position for one of our 101 or 201 camps and try something new! It’s a great way to branch out into a new instrument! Heck, you already know the basics!
