Starting Wednesday, June 1st

Our beginner level Camp! At our Rock 101 Camp beginning Wednesday, June 1st, we’ll ease you into the idea of being and working in a band. Over four rehearsals we match you up with players of your skill level and introduce you to being in a band in our relaxed, professional and non-judgmental atmosphere! Rock 101 This is where your Rock journey starts!

Rock 201: Traveling Wilburys Camp

Starting Monday, May 23rd (due to the Holiday)

Tune up the Rickenbacker 12-string, it’s time to a road trip with ‘ol Nelson, Otis, Lefty, Lucky and Charlie Wilbury!  At our Rock 201: Traveling Wilburys Camp you’ll be able to jangle n’ shake to the hits of The Traveling Wilburys!  Lay back and jam to the heartland rock by the epic 1980s supergroup consisting of George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and Jeff Lynne!  Get in a light-hearted mood and jam to such classics as “End of the Line”, “Runaway” and “Handle With Care”!  This camp concludes with your own VIP performance for your invited friends and family.

Rock 201: “The Rock of the Oughts” Camp

Starting Tuesday, May 31st

“They don’t make great music like they used to in the 1960s or 1970s…” Too bad that is WRONG! At our Rock 201: The Oughts Camp beginning Tuesday, May 31st, you will get to show those old fogies that there IS some great music in the 2000s! Grab your guitar and get ready to jam to the biggest hits that set the tone for this century, such as “The Middle” by Jimmy Eat World, “Fat Lip” by Sum 41” and “Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots” by The Flaming Lips. Wrap up your camp with your own in-studio concert for your invited friends and family! So grab your instrument and prove that rock never died, and it’s as good as ever!

Rock 201: The Psychedelic ’60s

Starting Wednesday, June 1st

Hey all you cosmic children, are you ready for some groovy jams? Starting Wednesday, June 1st you can don your beads, light some incense and turn your rock power into Flower Power at our Rock 201: Psychedelic 60s Camp! You’ll get to spread some golden stardust with such psyche-rock classics from the ‘decade that changed rock’, such as “Sunshine of Your Love” by Cream, ”I Can See For Miles” by The Who and “Strawberry Fields Forever” by The Beatles. You can even end your camp with your very own ‘be-in’ at your groovy in-studio concert at our Rock 201 Performance Party! So c’mon man, don’t be a square!

Rock 301: Battle of The Bands – The Decades Come Together: The 1990s

Starting Monday, May 23rd (due to Holiday)

Set back your clocks and gear up the time machine… It’s time for the Rock 301: Battle of the Bands – The Decades Come Together! At this year’s Fifth Annual RCFD Battle of The Bands, we’ll have three bands each representing a different decade of rock, pop and metal, competing to the metaphorical death in front of a venue-full of grooving fans! No random drawings of band members or setlists; this time you’ll be playing the classics from The 1990s, squaring off against the other top decades in rock! We’re talking such classics as “Smells Like Teen Spirit” by Nirvana, “Under The Bridge” by Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Battle-required “Come Together” as covered by Soundgarden! The Battle of the Bands competition will be held on Saturday, June 25th at The Pourhouse, hosted by local celebrity guest judges. Prizes include the coveted headlining spot on our Best of Season Gig and a FREE camp for each of the winning band participants! So grab your instruments and tune-up—let’s find out which decade truly was the best!!

Amp & Pedal Camp

Starting Thursday, June 2nd

Do you want to take your tone to 11? You loved it so much last time, we’re bringing it back! At our Amp & Pedal Camp beginning Thursday, June 2nd, we will give you the tools you need to build, augment, and maintain a pedalboard! Throughout four weeks, we will take an in-depth and hands on approach to building a pedalboard from scratch and find the best voicing for your guitars and amps. If you’ve ever wanted to make your guitar sing and wanted to learn the tricks of the pros, this is the opportunity for you. Whether you have a pedalboard that needs help, or want to build something new from scratch, we have you covered!

Jamshop: Acoustic/Country

Starting Saturday, June 4th

Looking for a little more Mojo on the weekends? Why not give Jamshop a try! JamShop, beginning Saturday, June 4th, is aimed at all levels of musicians who are interested in getting together, during the weekend, to play in a casual, laid back and collaborative environment, focused on fun Saturday morning jammin! The June Jamshop will have an Acoustic/Country theme, so come on down and have a laidback, countrified Saturday ‘morn!

These camp positions are all first come first serve, so act fast and get the camp you want! Click on the position you want in the camp of your choice to put down your deposit. This will secure your spot. Also, if you’re a guitar player who wants to try his or her hand at something different, try signing up for a bass position for one of our 101 or 201 camps and try something new! It’s a great way to branch out into a new instrument! Heck, you already know the basics!
