Camper Assessment:

All new Campers will need to sign up for a 1/2 hour Ability Assessment session with an Instructor prior to enrolling in any Camp.  This process ensures that you will be put into a camp with similar level musicians, which will provide for a happy camper experience.

Rock 101 Camp:

Professional instruction by our seasoned rock veterans will teach you (2 1/2 hours per week for 4 weeks), the skills and dynamics of playing in a band! Rock 101 is designed to help you –  the beginner, nervous or just plain curious student of Rock ‘n Roll.  At the end of your 4 weeks you will be ready to either graduate to our “Rock 201” or  “Rock 301” level with the confidence and skill to perform before a live audience!

Rock 201 Camp:

Are you a Rock 101 graduate or an RCFD newcomer who wants to study an artist in-depth? Rock 201 is our intermediate level, month long course that culminates in a live, in-studio performance for your family and friends at RCFD HQ in St. Louis Park. Techniques covered build on our Rock 101 curriculum and include: solo improvisation (guitar), walking, slapping and popping (bass), cymbal use, rolling and odd-meter (drums) and microphone positioning and the difference between head voice and throat voice (vocals). We will also cover topics unique to the specific artist or genre that your group will be studying. Whether you’re looking to tighten your skills before joining one of our performance camps or just prefer a more intimate gig setting, Rock 201 is for you.

Rock 301 Camp:

Rock 301 is our intermediate/advanced, month long course that culminates in a live, performance at a renowned Twin Cities nightclub. You’ll receive professional instruction by our seasoned rock veterans (three hours per week for four weeks), all class and rehearsal materials for the first 3 pre-chosen songs, 8 songs performed on stage and infamous video memories of your gig on YouTube.
